Conducting Meta-Analyses in R with the metafor Package. I used this platform to learn the basics of R before using Metafor. If you are new to R, I suggest taking the Introduction to R course on DataCamp (affiliate link).
Revman 5 full#
RevMan facilitates preparation of protocols and full reviews, including text. If so – have a look at JASP or Jamovi below. RevMan 5 is the software used for preparing and maintaining Cochrane Reviews. However, since the package requires the use of the R environment, it may be difficult for those who have never used R before to become accustomed to the package so quickly. Their website contains some very useful analysis and plot examples with the corresponding code. Once you switch on the RoB 2 features in RevMan Web some specific functions will no longer be available. This is described in the RevMan Web knowledge base. Authors can transfer their review from RevMan 5 to RevMan Web. Metafor is one of the many R packages available to conduct meta-analyses and contains the most comprehensive analysis tools. A: RoB 2 cannot be displayed using RevMan 5 software. All other reviews (DTA, methodology, overviews) will have a dashboard in RevMan Web showing the full review history.
RevMan Web will become the gateway to all reviews: All intervention and flexible reviews will be editable in RevMan Web.
Example forest plot created using Metafor in R. You can access reviews in RevMan Web, or directly from RevMan 5 (check-out will be removed from Archie).
